Password Protect Your Google Search History “Require Extra Verification”

A simple and easy way to protect your google history.

Google gathers and tracks your activity in its products, but you can control some of that information. However, all the search activities we do on Google are stored. When you log in to your Google account from any device, all your search activities would be visible to the one viewing it in myactivity.google.com.

If you search for something on Google, and it tells you when you last visited that page. And if you want to have control over it and don’t want someone else to see you can put privacy on that.

Despite all this record, you can still protect your search activity through a password. You can delete the data and secure it. Now is the best time to employ your control on your own privacy.

Follow these simple steps to password protect your search activity.

  • Sign in to your google account if you are not signed in already.
  • Open Google Chrome.
  • Go to myactivity.google.com.
  • Click on “Manage My Activity Verification”.
  • A message would emerge having two options;

* Require extra verification

* Don’t require extra verification

  • Select the 1st option.
  • Then save it by clicking on the “Save” option.
  • After that, a password blank would appear for you to again sign in to your account to make sure it’s you.
  • Enter your password and click on next.
  • After that, all your search activity would be hidden.
  • If you would want to see your activity, you would have to verify your identity.

  • That would be done by again typing your password on the google account login page. It would appear itself.
  • On the correct password, your history would be visible for you.

If you are using save your password or manage password, your password would automatically be filled by anyone trying to open your google activity from your account on your device. So this cannot help in those situations. Other than that it is now pretty secure and no one would be able to view your search activity and it would be secure without having to delete it.
